This renovation turned out amazing! This project included a small amount of drywall patching, and priming and painting the walls and ceiling. A new sink was installed and sink supply lines moved to make room for the new wall cabinets. Two new lights were installed and wired in a 3 way switch format. The light bulbs were replaced with LED florescent size tubes so you change them very rarely. The floors were painted with an epoxy based paint and coated with a high gloss protective coating. Two broom closets, two upper cabinets, two sections of custom base cabinets, and a custom bench were all installed. Base molding was added throughout. A wire shelving system was added it both the closet and above the main counter top. Custom coat hooks were also made. New hard wear was added throughout.
We refinished this 500 square foot living room and dining room oak hardwood floor. We also refinished 5 stair treads to match. We stained the floor with two coats of Red Oak stain and then applied four coats of polyurethane. New taller base molding and 1/4 round was painted and installed in the living room and dining room and also in the hallway upstairs.
Here we removed the old damaged screens and replaced them with a plastic snap on system that makes the outside maintenance free and if a screen needs to be replaced its easy to do. The screen door was replaced with one that allows more light in. The ceiling was painted. We added a thin finish grad plywood to the walls then added trim around the screens and the wainscoting below. All the walls and trim were then painted. Lastly we painted the floor with an epoxy based paint that came with speckles to sprinkle on top and then a high gloss protective coating was added to the floor.
In this Formal Living Room and Dining Room we removed the wall of mirrors that where original to the house to create a slightly more modern yet formal space. We removed the chair rail, baseboards and carpet. We installed a floating dark laminate floor, new base boards and crown molding in the Living Room. We painted a slightly darker grey on the double window wall to serve as an accent wall and a backdrop to the electric fire place that was planed to go in the middle of the windows. The other three walls received a lighter grey color. We also installed 1/4 round throughout both rooms. More picture to come.
Like many of us know, one project leads to another. The customer was having their kitchen redone by another contractor and had a wall partially removed which lead to the repainting of the Living Room, Dining Room and Upstairs Hallway. They also thought this would be a good time to pull up those old carpets and see what the alleged hard wood floors underneath looked like and see what kind of shape they where in. Once the carpet and the pad were removed we discovered the oak hardwood flooring was in great shape. Once a stain sample was selected, we stripped the floor all the way back to the natural wood color so that we could apply the new stain color this included the stairs that went to the second floor. Stain and Polyurethane was then applied. We also added new 1/4 round to finish it off. We painted the ceiling, the walls and the trim. If you look close you can notice the fire place bump out is one shade darker than the walls just to serve as an accent and make it pop.
