Flooring and Paint

Like many of us know, one project leads to another. The customer was having their kitchen redone by another contractor and had a wall partially removed which lead to the repainting of the Living Room, Dining Room and Upstairs Hallway. They also thought this would be a good time to pull up those old carpets and see what the alleged hard wood floors underneath looked like and see what kind of shape they where in. Once the carpet and the pad were removed we discovered the oak hardwood flooring was in great shape. Once a stain sample was selected, we stripped the floor all the way back to the natural wood color so that we could apply the new stain color this included the stairs that went to the second floor. Stain and Polyurethane was then applied. We also added new 1/4 round to finish it off. We painted the ceiling, the walls and the trim. If you look close you can notice the fire place bump out is one shade darker than the walls just to serve as an accent and make it pop.

Laundry Room Renovation

In this project I split the original laundry room into a smaller more functional laundry room and a bar room that was designed around the homeowners new keg-orator. Everything in the old room was removed to make way for the newly framed walls. The electrical panel was upgraded, and new lights and receptacles added, new plumbing run, walls insulated, dryer vent moved, floor tiled and grouted, drywall added to the ceiling and the walls, everything primed then painted and trim installed.

Still awaiting custom cabinets on both the laundry room and the bar side. The bar side will also have under cabinet lighting and one cabinet will feature in cabinet lighting to showcase some fancy glasses.

Thirsty?

Here is the finished product of a 500 bottle wine rack. The racks were made out of select pine boards that stood about six feet tall. Built in pieces in my garage made for an easy in place assembly. The rack was designed to accommodate three different bottle sizes in which the homeowner stored much of his home-made wine.

Closet Overhaul

Here I completely replaced the plaster ceiling that had collapsed, due to a leak, with all new drywall, removed old wallpaper, sanded, primed, painted the inside and installed brand new bi-fold doors. I also replaced an old basement door with a six panel door that match these bi-fold doors.

Custom Cabinets

Here I assisted an experienced woodworker in making custom kitchen cabinets for a home down in Philadelphia. You can see us stacking the cabinets in the shop in the kitchen layout to make sure they fit together perfectly.

Half Bath Renovation

In this cramped powder room the home owner wanted to move the sink to a different wall and also move the door so that the bathroom could be accessed from the living from rather than the laundry room. Changing the door location also increased the amount of usable space in an already small bathroom.

Let It Burn

A newly redone fire pit and siting area that is more welcoming!

New Landscape

Out with the old and in with the new! The local deer just kept feasting on the hostas planted out front of this house so we upgraded to some deer resistant plants with a little more color.

New Siding

When our siding on our house was damaged in a recent hurricane that passed through we needed to replace all the siding and the roof. We decided to order a little extra of the new siding so we could update the shed to match.

Retaining Wall & Pathway

A brand new retaining wall & a pathway to access the back yard, from the left side of the house, without feeling like you’re tramping through the forest to get there!
